This paper describes a new machine architecture for a general purpose computer, which is especially suitable for wafer scale integration. The machine described here is highly redundant, but at the same time incorporates a high utility of redundant units. The machine has a large number of multiple units acting in parallel, but to the programmer the machine looks and acts like a regular Von Neumann machine. The machine takes advantage of implicit parallelism present in the programs it executes. This, however, is done automatically without an explicit specification by the programmer. The machine is made of several unit types and many units of each type. These units work cooperatively and in parallel. The instruction set of the machine is inde...
