Jet production

Such jet processes can be interpreted in terms of interactions of constituents (namely gluons and quarks) that reside within nucleons. Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) is the theory that describes the interactions among quarks and gluons. Predictions of the theory are sensitive to the constituent content of hadrons (referred to as the structure functions). Using the data taken at D-Zero detector, I examine the dependence of the yield and character of jets (the hadronic remnants of the scattered constituents) in antiproton-proton collisions at 1.8 TeV on algorithms used for defining them, and on the pseudo-rapidity range. I also compare our results to the predictions from next-to-leading-order (NLO) QCD
