This paper aims to present a methodological approach to create the sound maps with students. This work is based on several linking themes like sonic geography, sonic mapping and related educational issues. At the crossroads of different themes, it tries to show graphical representations of sounds obtained during fieldwork and it provides mapping choices that help the student map them as legibly as possible. The paper shows how it is possible to introduce sonic geography and sonic cartography into student learning at different levels. It also focuses on relationships between university and school mapping.
