Fly ash, a by-product of combustion of pulverized coill in thermal power plants, is some times termed as a hazardous waste. The tly ash arrested by electrostatic precipitators (ESP) is much in demand for various applications because of its good physicochemical and mineralogical properties. To make the present study more meaningful chemical. mineralogical and structural characterization were carried out. Chemical analysis gives the percentage of SiO2 Al2O3 Fe2O3 CaO2, MgO, K2O3 Na2O3 TiO2 SO3, and P2O5. Proximate analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and FTIR spectroscopic analyses have also been used for chemical and mineralogical characterization of the sample
