Pembangunan model kompetensi kemahiran hijau ke arah peningkatan kompetensi pensyarah Politeknik di Malaysia

The concept paper discusses the importance of competence development among Polytechnic lecturers in Malaysia through the acquisition and application of green skills model. Applying towards competence development competence is examined from the point of self- efficacy, competence at work and academic competence in which it is necessary to have within the lecturers and in line with the government\u27s desire to strengthen the Technical and Vocational Education. Based on a conducted literature review, there are various problems that arise involving the competence of lecturers and if not addressed will affect the country\u27s human capital development . Accordingly, this article also stated the importance of green skills as an effective method for improving the competence of lecturers. Researcher do references on some of existing competency models as cornerstone and guidance to develop a green skill competency model that will be implemented among Polytechnic lecturers in Malaysia
