Aluminum based composite materials have many potential engineering applications for manufacturing industry. Nowadays there is a critical need for cost-effective machining processes for this material. Not much work has been reported for machining of Aluminum based composite with Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) process. In this work, an attempt has been made to model the machinability evaluation through the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) while machining of Al-10% SiCp Metal Matrix Composite (MMC) was manufactured through stir casting method.
