In this paper, an atmospheric pressure plasma jet (APPJ) in nitrogen has been set up for possible application in polymer surface modification. The effect on the hydrophilicity of a polyethylene (PE) surface exposed to the plasma jet was investigated for different exposition times and distances from the nozzle. It has been confirmed that the jet can modify polymer film with a work distance of more than 60 mm
