The survivability of a vessel is related to its intact and damage stability. This paper seeks to study and develop a working computer programme to calculate stability of vessel of any shapes of hullform emphasizing in its intact stability as the Righting Arm, GZ curve has always been the prime concern of regulatory bodies. There are various ways of assessing the intact stability such as deterministic and probabilistic. The purpose of this study is to further develop a ship stability program using FORTRAN based on mathematical modelling of the statically behaviour of the intact ships in calm water.
