Among the technological processes turning process is one of the vital and widely used processes. Efficiency of the process depends on the selection of the cutting conditions. Now-a-days, single criteria optimization is used for the purpose. But intensive development of computing technique has open up the possibility for the multi-criteria optimization. Objective of this article is to develop a procedure to select the optimal cutting conditions for a turning process using multi-criteria and multi-parametric optimization technique. Here surface roughness, accuracy, productivity and cost of productions are taken as criteria for optimization.
