Saksi Perempuan dalam Perspektif Para Mufasir

The issue of gender in Islamic perspective leads to contradictory ideas especially the issue of woman origin, heritage proportion, poligamy, testimony, reproduction etc. One of the issues discussed in this paper is the issue of testimony by women. Upon analysing the Qur'anic verses and referring to various ideas of Islamic jurisprudence the author comes up with conclusion that the main reason why people differ in testimony by woman is due to the way of thinking. There are people who started from the Qur'anic text to analyse the social phenomenan, while other people started from the social phenomenan and then refer to Qur'anic texts to analyze issue
