The Effect of Kinship and Marital Relationship in Averting the Punishment for Theft

All praise is due to Allah who states in His Book, ?As for the thief, both male and female, cut off their hands. It is the reward of their deeds, an exemplary punishment from Allah. Allah is Mighty, Wise.? (Soorat al- Maa?idah, 5:38)And may Allah‟s peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, who said, ?Avoid the imposition of the prescribed punishments (hudood) in case of uncertainty.?
