The aim of this research is to find out some errors made by the students in transforming affirmative simple present sentences into negative and interrogative ones, and identifying the causes of error made by the students. The subject of this research was the second grade of SMP YAPERA Ciledug. This research was conducted in the class VIII-5, the writer analyzed 20 students. In this research, the writer used a qualitative method in a form of descriptive analysis (percentage) that included observation, collecting the students� test, analyzing, and interpreting the data.
