The objective of the research are; 1) To find the grammatical errors in simple present tense that commonly made by the eighth grade students of SMP BINADIDAKTIKA in writing descriptive text, 2) To investigate the influence of errors that commonly caused in writing descriptive. The method uses in this research is the qualitative method and statistical descriptive analytic to find the result. The result of the research show the errors that made by the students are; Omission of be (6.73%), using of punctuation (-3.31%), capitalization (-9.59%), wrong use of singular and plural form (-5.40%), addition of be (-3.40%), Unsuitable between singular subject and verb (23.05%), wrong order (9.66%), unsuitable between subject and auxiliary (-2.89%), om...
