The objective of this study was to know the empirical evidence about the effectiveness of Self-Questioning technique on students? reading of narrative text at the eleventh grade of SMAN 10 Kota Tangerang. The method used in this research was a quasi experimental design. The population was all students of eleventh grade of SMAN 10 Kota Tangerang with the total number 388 students. The cluster random sampling technique was applied in choosing the sample. The sample was 78 students which were divided into two classes, namely experiment and control class.
