Slang language in Bad Boys II movie in translation

In this research focuses on translation study that is the translation of slang language in the subtitle of Bad Boys II movie that often used by the characters in the movie. The purpose of the study is to analyze the slang language and the types of slang language in the Bad Boys II movie. The writer uses qualitative descriptive method in order to reach the objectivies of the research. The writer being the researcher to collect data: by watching the movie, finding the script of movie, reading the translation of movie (subtitle), marking and classifying slang language. As a result of the research, the writer concludes that slang language used in Bad Boys II movie can be classified into society slang and public house slang. These are based on the words used in the movie and in types of slang mentioned such as fuck, shit, dude, baby, what�s up, etc Hopefully, this research to be useful for the readers, especially the students of English Letters Department.
