An analysis of class struggle in Sydney White film by Joe Nussbaum

In this research, the writer finds out the result that shows the class struggle in the film. This research focuses the analysis on the main character described in the film. The object of the study is to describe the relationship between the character and class struggle in Sydney White film, specifically the aim of the study is to know how the character of Sydney White in Sydney White film is described, and how the class struggle of the main character portrayed in the film. The writer uses the technique of analyzing data is descriptive qualitative method. To answer the research questions, the writer used the books of Marxism about theory of class struggle, film, literature and the internet, which are related with class struggle theory. Sydney White is a romantic comedy film which describes about class struggle of the American society in the University. This research shows that class struggle through Sydney White as non-elite class in Sydney White film appears from her courage and her struggle to fight against Rachel Withcburn as the elite class which is portrayed in the film
