This research is aimed at finding out the differences of sounds or pronunciations between British and American English. It is a qualitative research. The writer uses a comparative approach namely comparative historical linguistic. This is a method actually to compare the language families that is British and American English in pronunciation. The writer compares the differences between British and American English in pronunciation through two phenomenal dictionaries, Oxford and Webster�s dictionary. The writer classifies the data into two transcriptions, those are: vowels sounds and consonants sounds.
