The analysis of transpositions in the text of BBC News Bilingual English ? Indonesian

This research is focused on finding the types of transposition especially in the first and the third forms of shifts in the text of BBC News Bilingual English ? Indonesian. This research is also finding out how the transposition of translation applied on the text of BBC News Bilingual English - Indonesia. The writer studies the text of BBC News Bilingual English ? Indonesia as unit of analysis and uses transposition theory of Peter Newmark as a theoritical framework of the research. The writer expects the analysis can contribute to develope the theory of translation and the results of this resesrach may assist the translator to have better knowladge of transposition. The writer uses the qualitative descriptive method to analyzes the data. Firstly, the writer classifying the sentences of the transposition the text of BBC news English ? Indonesian. Then, the writer signing the sentences that are related to the transposition procedure and analyzing the result of the text between source language and target language. After that, the writer explains the text to find some words or phrases which are related to transposition. From the analysis, the writer finds those types of transpositions, they are: from Plural to Singular; from Adjective + Noun to Noun + Adjective and from Adjective + Noun to Noun + Nou
