An analysis of main female character through feminist literary criticism on a film script the other boleyin girl

This research is intended to give an understanding of feminist ideology emerge through the main character. The writer analyzes that Mary Boleyn and Anne Boleyn as the main character who are marginalized by men that present feminist ideology in the film script The Other Boleyn Girl written by Peter Morgan. This film studied by using descriptive qualitative method and the concept of feminism through a girl character. From the data analysis, the writer finds that Mary Boleyn and Anne Boleyn get pressure from their father and their uncle. Mary Boleyn has three characters; she is less ambitious, uncourageous, and nurturing. In this story Mary Boleyn has to serve the king even though she is married, Mary cannot do anything to reject her father command. Anne Boleyn has three characters; she is ambitious, courageous, and smart. In this story Anne Boleyn wants to be a queen of England when she has to serve the king. She does everything to be queen of England. Finally, the writer finds out that Mary Boleyn has character who present feminist ideological criticism by being marginalized by men she can lives happily. However Anne Boleyn who tries not to be marginalized, died in miserable way
