O ensino de ciências nos anos iniciais da escolarização com o uso de experimentos

Science teaching is one of the most important curricular components in the schooling process of children and adolescents, since it stimulates the spirit of discovery and provides an understanding of the physical and social world, surpassing the common sense view. There are several methodologies used as mediators in the teaching-learning process that aims at the cognitive and citizen development of the students. Lessons with experimentation generally arouse great interest in students, because they are different activities than they usually are in the classroom, and allow students to manipulate, observe, and have a practical understanding of the knowledge of science discipline. It is with this perspective that we present our research aimed to show how experiments in science classes can contribute to the learning process of students in the early years, but, fundamentally, how students themselves perceive this way of teaching and learning. The research is part of the methodological assumptions of qualitative research, in which three classes were held with students, and as data analysis were used questionnaires and records made by students. Regarding the results obtained, we realize that they responded positively to this type of class and are open to classes with experiments in which they do not act directly on the activity, as long as it is interesting, something that arouses their curiosity.O ensino de Ciências é um dos componentes curriculares de fundamental importância no processo de escolarização das crianças e adolescentes, uma vez que estimula o espírito da descoberta e proporciona a compreensão do mundo físico e social, superando a visão de senso comum. Diversas são as metodologias utilizadas como mediatizadoras no processo de ensino aprendizagem que visa o desenvolvimento cognitivo e cidadão dos alunos. Aulas com experimentação em geral despertam grande interesse nos alunos, por se tratar de atividades diferentes do que habitualmente costumam ser em sala de aula, além de possibilitar que os alunos manipulem, observem, e tenham uma compreensão prática dos saberes da disciplina de Ciências. É com essa perspectiva, que apresentamos nossa pesquisa que teve por objetivo mostrar como as experimentações nas aulas de Ciências podem contribuir para o processo de aprendizagem dos alunos dos anos iniciais, mas, fundamentalmente, como os próprios alunos percebem essa forma de ensinar e aprender. A pesquisa se insere nos pressupostos metodológicos da pesquisa qualitativa, em que foram realizadas três aulas com os alunos, e como análise de dados foram utilizados questionários e registros feitos pelos alunos. Em relação aos resultados obtidos, percebemos que eles responderam positivamente a esse tipo de aula e se mostram abertos às aulas com experimentos em que não atuam diretamente na atividade, desde que ela seja interessante, que seja algo que desperte a curiosidade deles
