Um comparativo sobre conhecimento financeiro dos alunos do ensino médio da Paraíba e Pernambuco

The objective of this study was to compare the level of knowledge about financial education among students of public schools in Goiana-PE and João Pessoa-PB. It was used the questionnaires with 24 questions, divided into four blocks: socioeconomic profile, where the student's academic profile and financial education were designed to know the importance that students give to financial matters and the applicability of the subject covered during the classes, personal finances and financial behavior, with the purpose of knowing the level of financial knowledge of the students and how they behave through the basic situations of the day to day. The questionnaire was answered during March of that year 2019 by 400 students from the states of Paraíba and Pernambuco, with 200 students from João Pessoa-PB and 200 students from Goiana-PE. The data were analyzed through the Cross Section and, with the results of the analysis, it was noticed that in the schools the applicability of subjects related to finance is still low, representing 12% in João Pessoa-PB and 27% in Goiana-PE. It was also observed that for most students it is important to have a healthy financial life, as well as to make investments, being 75% and 61.5% for the city of João Pessoa-PB, respectively, while in the Goiana-PE was a percentage of 77% and 70% for both affirmations. In addition, most respondents seek to better manage their finances, understand that it is important to have access to financial education information at school and want to be financially independent of their parents as early as possible, being 82.5% in João Pessoa and 81.5% in Goiana-PE. Therefore, it is suggested that there be an increase in financial education content in schools, as it will provide a sound basis for students to manage their finances in the best way possible.NenhumaEste trabalho teve como objetivo comparar o nível de conhecimento sobre educação financeira entre os alunos das escolas públicas de Goiana-PE e João Pessoa-PB. Utilizou-se a aplicação de questionários com 24 questões, divididas em quatro blocos: perfil socioeconômico, no qual buscou-se traçar o perfil acadêmico do aluno, educação financeira, com a finalidade de conhecer a importância que os alunos dão aos assuntos financeiros e à aplicabilidade do assunto abordado durante as aulas, finanças pessoais e comportamento financeiro, com o intuito de conhecer o nível de conhecimento financeiro dos alunos e como eles se comportam mediante as situações básica do dia-a-dia. O questionário foi respondido durante o mês de março de 2019, por 400 alunos dos Estados da Paraíba e Pernambuco, sendo 200 alunos de João Pessoa-PB e 200 alunos de Goiana-PE. Os dados foram analisados por meio do Cross Tab e, com os resultados da análise, percebeu-se que nas escolas a aplicabilidade dos assuntos voltados para finanças ainda é baixa, representando 12% em João Pessoa-PB e 27% em Goiana-PE. Observou-se ainda que para a maioria dos estudantes é importante ter uma vida financeira saudável, assim como, fazer investimento, sendo 75% e 61,5% para a cidade de João Pessoa-PB, respectivamente, enquanto que na cidade Goiana-PE foi um percentual de 77% e 70% para as duas afirmativas. Além disso, a maioria dos respondentes buscam gerenciar da melhor forma suas finanças, entendem que é importante ter acesso a informações sobre educação financeira na escola e querem ser financeiramente independentes dos pais o mais cedo possível, sendo 82,5% em João Pessoa e 81,5% em Goiana-PE. Portanto, sugere-se que haja um aumento nos conteúdos voltados para a educação financeira nas escolas, uma vez que ela proporcionará uma base sólida para que os estudantes consigam administrar da melhor maneira suas finanças
