O ensino da linguagem cartográfica para o aprendizado de geografia: um estudo de caso no Lyceu Paraibano

This Work aims to know the difficulties and facilities found by the students in the construction of a spatial linguage, and how to identify if the students can integrate in the construction of the cartographic representations the knowledge acquired in their formation. We justify that the use of cartography classes is very recurrent, we can not ignore the cartographic resources, maps are requirements to contribute in the location and mainly in the specialization of the phenomena that ingrate the reality. We used the Lyceu school in paraibano for the case study and try to diagnose how the students are learning the cartographic language for the un derstanding of geographical science. To discover student achievement and suggest proposed proposals, we interviewed the teacher of the discipline, and applied a test to the students with five questions from previous ENEM;s, concerning the subject of cartography, in addition, we also did a mental maps experiment. The essay was designed to get a general idea of student learning. At the end of the data collection, we made a diagnosis or opinion of the “reality” of the students, and with this study we propose some suggestions of work in the classroom.Este trabalho visa conhecer as dificuldades e facilidades encontradas pelos discentes na construção de uma linguagem espacial, e como identificar se os alunos conseguem integrar na construção das representações cartográficas os conhecimentos geográficos adquiridos em sua formação. Justificamos que o uso da cartografia nas aulas de geografia é muito recorrente, não podemos desprezar os recursos cartográficos, os mapas são requisitos para contribuir na localização e, principalmente, na espacialização dos fenômenos que integram a realidade. Utilizamos a escola Lyceu Paraibano para o estudo de caso e procuramos diagnosticar como os alunos estão aprendendo a linguagem cartográfica para o entendimento da ciência geográfica. Para descobrir o rendimento dos alunos e sugerir propostas, entrevistamos o professor da disciplina, e aplicamos um teste aos estudantes com cinco questões de Enem;s anteriores, referente ao assunto de cartografia, além disso, também fizemos uma experiência com mapas mental. O ensaio teve o intuito de conseguir uma ideia genérica do aprendizado dos alunos. Ao final da obtenção dos dados, fizemos um diagnóstico ou parecer da “realidade” dos discentes, e com esse estudo propomos algumas sugestões de trabalho em sala de aula
