Reading and writing practices occupy a fundamental place in the human being formation as a reader. Being for pleasure or for obligation, they become more indispensable by offering conditions for the subject to develop himself/herself. This research has the purpose of investigating three different schools of the rural area in the city of Conde-PB, noticing the presence of the literary reading not only inside classroom, but observing the role that it has in students and teachers life.
