Educação infantil: os desafios na perspectiva de professoras em um município da Paraíba

Infant education that we have today is the result of countless conceptual and normative advances throughout history on how to meet the needs of young children outside the family. Early Childhood Education integrates the work of educating and caring considering social, family and cultural contexts in which a child is inserted, enabling interactions and practices with the most varied knowledge, aiming their development. In this context, professional activity in this educational stage is the subject of constant debates in the present time, because before there was the concern that these teachers had some specific training that would enable them to develop educational practices with quality in kindergartens and preschools, to meet the specificities of these children. Based on these understandings, this research is aimed at the child education teacher, identifying the challenges in his pedagogical practice. It aims to analyze the main challenges reported by teachers of Early Childhood Education of a public day care in a municipality of Paraíba. It adopts as a methodological procedure the field research of qualitative and exploratory approach, using a field diary, and a questionnaire as instruments of data collection. The analysis of the data was based on the information collected during the research and then confronted in the light of the various authors that address the theme, where it was possible to observe that the main challenges of the teachers refer to the pedagogical resources, infrastructure and pedagogical accompaniment. Despite the difficulties, they offer the maximum possible quality in working with children in the institution.A Educação Infantil de hoje é resultado de inúmeros avanços conceituais e normativos ao longo da história sobre como atender às necessidades de crianças pequenas fora do seio familiar. A Educação Infantil integra o trabalho de educar e cuidar considerando contextos sociais, familiares e culturais em que uma criança está inserida, possibilita interações e práticas com os mais variados conhecimentos, objetivando o seu desenvolvimento. Nesse contexto, a atuação profissional nessa etapa educativa é alvo de constantes debates na atualidade, isso porque antes não havia a preocupação de que esses professores tivessem alguma formação específica que lhes dessem condições de desenvolver práticas educativas com qualidade em creches e pré-escolas, a fim de atender às especificidades dessas crianças. Com base nessas compreensões, essa pesquisa está voltada para a professora da educação infantil, identificando os desafios em sua prática pedagógica. Tem como objetivo analisar os principais desafios relatados por professoras da Educação Infantil de uma creche pública em um município da Paraíba. Adota como procedimento metodológico a pesquisa de campo de abordagem qualitativa e exploratória, utilizando um diário de campo, e um questionário como instrumentos de coleta de dados. A análise dos dados foi realizada a partir das informações coletadas durante a pesquisa e depois confrontada sob a luz dos diversos autores que abordam o tema, os resultados indicaram que os principais desafios das professoras, referem-se aos recursos pedagógicos, infraestrutura e acompanhamento pedagógico.
