Ensino-aprendizagem de português como língua estrangeira na UFPB: vivência com o PEC-G

This work is a result of the experiences of students of the degree in Letters course, Portuguese Language qualification, as professors of Portuguese as a Foreign Language of the Federal University of Paraíba, in the preparatory course for Certification of Proficiency in Portuguese for Foreigners (the Celpe-Bras exam), aimed at the public of the School-Covenant of Graduation Program. The teaching experience referred to here is attributed to the Language-Cultural Program for International Students, a project linked to the Department of Classical and Vernacular Letters of this institution. We try to understand how teachers still in undergraduate who do not dominate another language fluently, create strategies to teach the Portuguese language to foreigners and the dimension of these strategies for the learning of Brazilian Portuguese. In order to construct answers to these questions we specifically aim to: I - understand the training conditions of teachers involved in PLEI; II - to locate the target audience of this teaching and the characteristics of the proficiency test in Portuguese language in Brazil, Celpe-Bras; and III - to analyze textual productions developed during the lessons and the possible results obtained by the students. The method used to reach these objectives was that of action research, which comprised a quantitative survey answered by foreigners as one of the instruments of our analysis. Contributions by Almeida Filho (2011, 2005, 1989), Antunes (2014), Freire (1982), Hora (2015), Koch and Elias (2011), Marcuschi (2008), Mendel (2017), Poll (2015) Schoffen (2014), Venturi (2007), and Virgulino (2017) served as a theoretical basis and previous results suggest that it is possible for foreigners to acquire proficiency in the language, even at an advanced level, for a short period of six months.Este trabalho é resultado das experiências como estudantes do curso de Licenciatura em Letras, habilitação Língua Portuguesa, que atuaram na condição de professoras de Português como Língua Estrangeira (PLE) no curso preparatório para a Certificação de Proficiência em Língua Portuguesa para Estrangeiros, o exame Celpe-Bras, durante o ano de 2018. O público alvo do curso é constituído por alunos do Programa Estudantes-Convênio de Graduação (PEC-G), vinculados ao Programa Linguístico-Cultural para Estudantes Internacionais (PLEI), projeto do Departamento de Letras Clássicas e Vernáculas (DLCV) da Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB). Procuramos compreender como professoras ainda em graduação, que não dominam outra língua fluentemente, criam estratégias para ensinar a língua portuguesa a estrangeiros e a dimensão dessas estratégias para o ensino e a aprendizagem do português brasileiro. A fim de construirmos respostas para essas questões, objetivamos, especificamente: I – compreender as condições de formação dos professores envolvidos no PLEI; II – situar o público-alvo deste ensino e as características do exame de proficiência em língua portuguesa no Brasil, o Celpe-Bras; III – analisar produções textuais desenvolvidas no decorrer das aulas e os possíveis resultados obtidos pelos alunos. O método utilizado para alcançarmos tais objetivos foi o da pesquisa-ação, em que compunha uma pesquisa quantitativa respondida pelos estrangeiros como um dos instrumentos de nossa análise.
