Desigualdade de renda regional: uma análise para as grandes regiões, estados e mesorregiões no período de 2010-2014

The study had as main objective to measure income inequality, using the Williamson coefficient, coefficient of variation which theoretical limits vary [0, ∞] indicating a higher concentration when it is near the unit and a greater dispersion when it is closer to zero. This coefficient was calculated for the following geographic clippings: large regions, States and mesoregions during the period of 2010 to 2014. Period in which Brazil went through significant changes in your production structure. The results, at first show that these coefficients were quite high when measured through the optics of the States and mesoregions, which implies that the inequality is greater when measured internally, than those obtained for large regions. However, over the five years this coefficient has been reducing, which shows evidence of income convergence between municipalities and States. From 137 brazilian mesoregions, there was a coefficient reduction in 114, which means that the municipalities have reduced income disparities in relation to their region of origin. The other 23 mesoregions where was observed no coefficient reduction but value even high, it can be explained, by adding municipalities which concentrates production activities in strategic sectors for an economy, just like the cities that have the activities linked to the petroleum extraction.O estudo teve como objetivo principal mensurar a desigualdade de renda, utilizando o Coeficiente de Williamson, coeficiente de variação cujos limites teóricos variam [0, ∞] indicando uma maior concentração quando estiver próximo a unidade e uma maior dispersão quando estiver mais próximo de zero. Calculou-se esse coeficiente para os seguintes recortes geográficos: grandes regiões, estados e mesorregiões no período de 2010 a 2014. Período no qual o Brasil passou por mudanças significativas na sua estrutura de produção. Os resultados, a princípio mostram que esses coeficientes, foram bastantes elevados quando mensurado na ótica dos estados e mesorregiões, o que implica a afirmar que a desigualdade é maior quando mesurada internamente, do que aqueles obtidos para grandes regiões. Entretanto, ao longo dos cincos anos esse coeficiente vem se reduzindo, o que mostra indícios de convergência de renda entre municípios e estados. Das 137 mesorregiões brasileiras, em 114 houve uma redução do coeficiente, o que significa que os municípios reduziram suas disparidades rendas em relação a sua mesorregião de origem. Nas outras 23 Mesorregiões onde não foi observada uma redução do coeficiente e sim valor até maior, pode ser explicada, por agregar municípios que concentra atividades produtivas em setores estratégicos para uma economia, como as cidades que possuem a atividades ligadas a extração de petróleo
