Nowadays, many residues were generated, from oil and gas production and exploration activities, like produced water. This water needs to be discarded or injected (EOR) according to limits established by environmental laws. In this work, the adsorptive capacity of sugarcane bagasse and commercial activated carbon in emulsified oil removal in produced water was studied, investigating batch operation, continuous contact in fixed bed column and scaleup procedure.
