Indução de cargas e correntes via dimensões extras

In this work we investigate the possibility that charges and currents may be induced from extra dimensions in a way analogous to some modern higher-dimensional spacetime theories. However, unlike these, the fundamental equations to be used are the vacuum Maxwell equations instead of the vacuum Einstein equations. We then examine the capacity of the vacuum Maxwell equations to generate charges and currents in the four-dimensional spacetime (the brane). We conclude that this is possible under some conditions.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESNeste trabalho investigamos a possibilidade de cargas e correntes serem induzidas a partir das dimensões extras em uma maneira análoga a algumas teorias de espaço-tempo de dimensão superior modernas. Porém, contrário a estas, as equações fundamentais a serem usadas são as equações de Maxwell no vácuo ao invés das equações de Einstein no vácuo. Examinamos então a capacidade das equações de Maxwell de gerar cargas e correntes no espaço-tempo quadridimensional (a brana). Concluímos então que isto é possível sob algumas condições
