Os a(u)tores da pesca: interações sociais, apropriação e conservação dos recursos pesqueiros na área de proteção ambiental da barra do rio Mamanguape-PB.

Taking into consideration the thought that the greatest challenge of researches which involve human beings and the environment is in overcoming dichotomies such as nature-culture and objectivity-subjectivity, some orientations of researches directed to the systemic analysis of socio environmental aspects began to emerge. Many studies on ethnoecology held on the estuary of the Mamanguape River (ERM) have highlighted the depth and detail of the knowledge and use of the fishing resources extracted by the fishing communities that live in the surroundings of this river. However, there exists the challenge that this information may be recognized and included by the environmental legislators as an important theoretical instrument in the elaboration of co-participative actions in a near future plan of handling and so incorporating to the management programs, the maintenance of the sociobiodiversity. This work aims at perceiving and systematizing the interactions and social representations which permeate the fishing activities involving its actors at APA in Barra of the Mamanguape River. The methodology used was essentially qualitative and to do it was used the participant observation, oral stories, free and semi structured interviews. It was noticed some discouragement by the fishermen due to the decreasing of the estuary ichthyofauna. Yet, it was also noticed that the fishermen from Barra de Mamanguape have a deep affection story for their place which conveys some belong feelings towards the territory and makes them not give up their fishing activities or even taking it as motif. It was also noticed that the familiarity among the active institutions as well as among the local people is conflicting and their interests are diverging. Another aspect which was noticed is the incipient participation of the fishermen and the people who live there concerning the political life of their representative units.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESLevando-se em consideração que o maior desafio de pesquisas envolvendo seres humanos e meio ambiente está em superar dicotomias como natureza-cultura, objetividade-subjetividade começaram a emergir orientações de pesquisas direcionadas para análise sistêmica dos aspectos socioambientais. Diversos estudos etnoecológicos realizados no Estuário do Rio Mamanguape (ERM) ressaltam a profundidade e detalhamento do conhecimento e uso dos recursos pesqueiros extraídos pelas comunidades pesqueiras que residem no entorno do rio homônimo. Porém, enfrenta-se o desafio de que estas informações possam ser reconhecidas e incluídas pelos legisladores ambientais como um importante instrumental teórico para elaboração de ações co-participativas em um futuro plano de manejo, incorporando aos programas de gestão, a manutenção da sociobiodiversidade. Diante do exposto, esta dissertação objetivou perceber e sistematizar as interações e representações sociais que permeiam as atividades de pesca envolvendo seus atores, na APA da Barra do Rio Mamanguape. A metodologia utilizada foi essencialmente qualitativa, utilizando-se, para isso, da observação participante, história oral e entrevistas livres e semi-estruturadas. Registrou-se que a atividade da pesca está passando por um momento de desestímulo por parte dos pescadores, devido ao declínio na icitiofauna estuarina. Mesmo assim, sugere-se que os pescadores de Barra de Mamanguape possuem uma história de apego ao local que remete a sentimentos de pertencimento ao território e isso os faz não desistir da atividade de pesca, tomando essa atividade como sentido de vida. Verificou-se que a convivência entre as instituições atuantes, como também, entre os próprios indivíduos locais é conflituosa e os interesses são divergentes. Outro aspecto encontrado é a incipiente participação dos pescadores, e moradores no geral, no que abrange a vida política de suas unidades representativas
