Teoria crítica e religião: uma leitura da religião em Adorno e Horkheimer

The present work aims to address argumentative religion in the perspective of two Frankfurt School theorists: Theodor w. Adorno and Max Horkheimer. To understanding the religion in such authors do if necessary against the backdrop of critical theory. It is worth mentioning that there is a theory of religion in the Frankfurt School, but that religion consists of a part that is embedded in the study done by the Frankfurt School theorists. Critical theory attempts to do an analysis of society at large, which appears in theoretical studies. So, religion is understood as an integral part of society and should not be excluded from research. Religion understood from the bias of critical theory gives the possibility to seize his conjecture in both society and the daily life of each individual. There is, therefore, an imperative that is outside the scope in which commonly religion is entrenched: maybe, that religion would be free of ideology and of a teleological usage for certain purposes. In the course of argumentative text, in the first time you do a brief approach to the historical context in which the Frankfurt School is embedded. This context will make it possible to understand the development of critical theory. In the second, covers about religion and for such a venture be used two theoretical perspective: Max Horkheimer, with their proposal to understand religion as critical instance with the intention to safeguard the subject and Theodor Adorno that rooted on the issue nazifascista and anti-Semitism understand religion as a way to recover the lost hope. From this theoretical duplicitous if attempts to understand the importance of discussing religion under the Frankfurt School. Perhaps a reading that is not on the edges of the only obvious, but that enters in the nitty-gritty and conjecture.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESO presente trabalho dissertativo tem o intuito de abordar a religião na perspectiva de dois teóricos da Escola de Frankfurt: Theodor W. Adorno e Max Horkheimer. Para a compreensão da religião em tais autores faz-se necessários como pano de fundo a teoria crítica. Vale ressaltar que não há uma teoria da religião na Escola de Frankfurt, mas que a religião consiste em uma parte que está inserida no estudo feito pelos teóricos da Escola de Frankfurt. A teoria crítica tenta fazer uma análise da sociedade em geral, a qual aparece nos estudos teóricos. Assim, a religião é compreendida como parte integrante da sociedade e não deve ser excluída das pesquisas. A religião entendida a partir do viés da teoria crítica dá a possibilidade de apreender a sua conjectura tanto na sociedade quanto no cotidiano de cada indivíduo. Há, portanto, um imperativo de que esteja fora do âmbito em que comumente a religião está arraigada: talvez, a de que a religião estaria isenta de ideologia e de um uso teleológico para determinados fins. No decurso programático do texto dissertativo, em primeiro momento se faz uma breve abordagem do contexto histórico em que a Escola de Frankfurt está inserida. Tal contexto viabilizará na compreensão do desenvolvimento da teoria crítica. No segundo momento, aborda-se sobre a religião e para tal empreendimento se utilizará da perspectiva de dois teóricos: Max Horkheimer, com sua proposta de compreender a religião como instância crítica com a intenção de salvaguardar o sujeito autônomo e Theodor Adorno que arraigado sobre a questão nazifascista e do antissemitismo compreende a religião como forma de recuperar a esperança perdida. A partir desta dúplice teórica se tenta entender qual a importância de discutir a religião no âmbito Escola de Frankfurt. Talvez, uma chave de leitura que não fica nas arestas do apenas óbvio, mas que adentra no âmago da questão e em sua conjectura
