The story of history contributes to the development of learning through imagination, language, attention and taste for reading of children. The children's literature is essential, both in school, as in other institutional spaces, aimed at the child's cognitive development. Thus, the present work aims to understand the importance of story-telling history as an important tool for cognitive development and orality in early childhood education.
