Vagal indigestion or Hoflund syndrome is a motor disorder that makes difficult the passage of food through the ruminorreticular cavity, abomasum or both, due to full or partial compression of the vagus nerve. Is found more frequently in cows with a history of ingestion of foreign bodies, because the adhesions associated traumatic reticulitis often pressure branches of the vagus nerve or prevent the reticular motility.
