O intérprete de LIBRAS – Língua Brasileira de Sinais: um olhar sobre a aplicabilidade da legislação e sua formação

The process of inclusion of the person with hearing loss leads to a reflection on indicators that favor the performance of Brazilian Sign Language interpreter. In this direction, this study aimed to investigate the formation of Interpreter pounds-Brazilian sign language-acting on Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental Indio Piragibe, in this capital. We treat this matter by understanding that this professional is very important for the education of the deaf, also considering the need for a greater deepening of this theme. We conducted a literature search, followed by a field research. As the latter instrument, we use the questionnaire, from which we can identify various aspects about the profession of interpreter LIBRAS. The results show that the formation of the same is in accordance with Decree Law 5,626/2005 which deals with the need for interpreters be graduates in higher education in LIBRAS. However, there are other difficulties in the performance of professional interpreters who need the intervention of the school in order to improve the quality of the interpretations, favoring the development of the deaf student.O processo de inclusão da pessoa com deficiência auditiva nos leva a uma reflexão sobre os indicadores que favorecem a atuação do Intérprete de Língua Brasileira de Sinais. Nesta direção, este estudo teve como objetivo investigar a formação do Intérprete de LIBRAS - Língua Brasileira de Sinais - atuantes na Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental Índio Piragibe, nesta capital. Tratamos deste assunto por entendermos que este profissional é muito importante para a educação dos surdos, considerando também a necessidade de um maior aprofundamento desta temática. Realizamos uma pesquisa bibliográfica, seguida de uma pesquisa de campo. Como instrumento desta última, utilizamos o questionário, a partir do qual podemos identificar variados aspectos acerca da profissão do intérprete de LIBRAS. Os resultados demonstram que a formação dos mesmos está de acordo com o Decreto Lei 5.626/2005 que trata da necessidade dos intérpretes serem graduados no curso superior em Letras LIBRAS, no entanto, há outras dificuldades na atuação profissional dos intérpretes que necessitam da intervenção da escola a fim de melhorar a qualidade das interpretações, favorecendo o desenvolvimento do aluno surdo
