The present work looks at the issue of the teaching of Literature in High School, addressing questions about the guidelines established by the official documents that govern Brasilian education, with the law of guidelines and Bases of Education and the National Curricular Guidelines for Teaching Medium, among others. We aim to evaluate the use of news technologies in Reading Circles to promote the interest of students in High School for literary reading of the novel Dom Casmurro, of Machado de Assis, through a methodological proposal presented in the last chapter of this work.
