The massive presence of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in regular classrooms, made possible by the public policies of inclusion (Law n. 7,853/89; BRASIL, 1996, 2013), highlights the importance of rethinking, especially in initial teacher education, the knowledge and/or skills that enable the teacher to meet the needs of this audience effectively.
