Saberes profissionais docentes e ensino de língua estrangeira a alunos com deficiência visual

The massive presence of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in regular classrooms, made possible by the public policies of inclusion (Law n. 7,853/89; BRASIL, 1996, 2013), highlights the importance of rethinking, especially in initial teacher education, the knowledge and/or skills that enable the teacher to meet the needs of this audience effectively. In this sense, this study aimed at investigating the teachers’ knowledge which came from a pilot experience including students with visual impairment (VI) in regular foreign language classrooms of the “Programa de Extensão em Língua Estrangeira do Departamento de Letras Estrangeiras Modernas” at the Federal University of Paraíba (PRODELE / DLEM / UFPB) in the year 2013. In order to achieve our goals, we used literature in the area of school inclusion and its dilemmas (BEYER, 2010; DANTAS, 2010, 2014a, 2014b; FERREIRA; FERREIRA, 2013), and professional teacher education (PERRENOUD, 1999, 2000; PERRENOUD and THURLER 2002; MEDRADO, 2012; TARDIF, 2014) as a theoretical framework. Data were gathered from three (03) recorded meetings involving the members of a Scientific Initiation research project, and also three (03) interviews with three (03) former students with visual impairments. Through qualitative-interpretive analysis, specifically from positions assumed by students and teachers in their speeches, we categorized teachers’ knowledge which, if developed in initial education, may help teachers in the teaching of students with VI in inclusive scenarios. Finally, our work does not intend to build a teachers’ knowledge repertoire, because we understand that they emerge from this context, experienced by these subjects – students with VI and teachers from extensão – and, therefore, vary over time and with other situations. What our research provides is reflecting from the other’s experience, pushing us to make the school inclusion a reality and not a "make-believe" exercise.A presença maciça de alunos com necessidades educacionais específicas (NEE) nas salas de aulas regulares, viabilizada pelas políticas públicas de inclusão (Lei nº. 7.853/89; BRASIL, 1996, 2013), traz consigo a importância de se repensar, sobretudo na formação inicial, os saberes que possibilitem ao professor atender a esse público de modo efetivo. Nesse sentido, a presente pesquisa buscou investigar os saberes docentes que emergem de uma experiência piloto de inclusão de alunos com deficiência visual (DV) em turmas regulares dos cursos de extensão de língua estrangeira oferecidas pelo Programa Departamental de Extensão em Línguas Estrangeiras do Departamento de Letras Estrangeiras Modernas da Universidade Federal da Paraíba (PRODELE/DLEM/UFPB) no ano de 2013. A fim de alcançarmos o objetivo de nossa pesquisa, utilizamos, como suporte teórico, literatura na área de inclusão escolar e seus dilemas (BEYER, 2010; DANTAS, 2010, 2014a, 2014b; FERREIRA; FERREIRA, 2013), e formação profissional docente (PERRENOUD, 1999, 2000; PERRENOUD e THURLER 2002; MEDRADO, 2012; TARDIF, 2014). Nosso corpus é constituído por 03 (três) reuniões do coletivo de um projeto de Iniciação Científica e 03 (três) entrevistas realizadas com 03 (três) alunas com deficiência visual do curso de extensão em língua inglesa. Através da análise qualitativo-interpretativista dos dados, especificamente dos posicionamentos assumidos pelos alunos e professores em seus discursos, chegamos à categorização de saberes docentes que, se construídos na formação inicial, podem auxiliar os professores no ensino a alunos com DV em contextos inclusivos. Por fim, nosso trabalho não se propõe a construir um inventário de saberes, pois entendemos que eles emergem do contexto vivenciado especificamente por esses sujeitos – alunos com DV e professores da extensão – e que, portanto, variam de acordo com o tempo e em outras situações. O que nossa pesquisa possibilita é refletirmos a partir da experiência do outro, impulsionando-nos a tornar a inclusão escolar uma realidade e não um “faz de conta”
