This work aims to evidence our opinion related to the ludic methodology on the portuguese language learning. Our research was prepared in Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental Zulmira de Novais, during an internship in 2012, based on a elementary school class. Through our experience, we would like to show that, ludicity, representend by learning activities, such as games, toys and well structured educational plays, can motivate, facilitate and favor children learning process. We would also like to show the importance of educational plays and toys for the development of emotional, social, cultural, motor and cognitive skills on children.
