A CONSTRUÇÃO DA IDENTIDADE DOCENTE: IMAGENS E AUTOIMAGENS DE PROFESSORES (AS) DE CIÊNCIAS E BIOLOGIA DA EJA

It is well recognized that researches about teacher identity, images and their self-images are rare, mainly if they teach in Youth and Adult Education (EJA). Regarding to this, in this work, it was aimed to analyze the process of identity construction of Science/Biology teachers of EJA and their perception about teacher image and self-image. The research was carried out with teachers from the cities of Areia and Remígio - PB, and it had a focal group and an individual interview as a source of data collection, also the photo-elicitation method was used in both cases. It was used on this research some points of view from a few authors, for example: Arroyo (2011), Nóvoa et. al (1995), Bauman (2005), among others. According to the obtained information, it was possible to observe that the respondents see themselves as participatory teachers. Also, it was noted that not all participants of the research are fulfilled as teaching in the EJA modality because they are frequently comparing to the regular education in terms of interest, class dynamics, and so on. For some participants it is quite gratifying to teach in the EJA and Regular Teaching as they have a vision of both sides. The teachers emphasized some important aspects in the construction of identity such as: training, experience in the EJA classroom, sensitivity and learning with other teachers.Sabe-se que são raros os trabalhos que discutem sobre identidade docente e sobre imagens e autoimagens de professores, principalmente, se estes forem da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA). Diante disto o presente trabalho tem por objetivo analisar o processo de construção da identidade docente do(a) professor(a) de Ciências/Biologia da EJA e sua percepção sobre imagens e autoimagens docentes. A pesquisa foi realizada com docentes dos Municípios de Areia e Remígio – PB, e teve como fonte de obtenção dos dados a realização de um grupo focal e uma entrevista individual, também foi utilizado o método de foto-elicitação em ambos os casos. Foi utilizada na pesquisa visões de alguns autores sobre o tema, tais como: Arroyo(2011), Nóvoa et. al(1995), Bauman(2005), entre outros autores. De acordo com os fatos obtidos, foi possível verificar que os(as) entrevistados(as) se vêem como professores(as) participativos(as). Foi possível notar também que nem todos os participantes da pesquisa estão satisfeitos em lecionar na modalidade EJA, pois ficam sempre comparando com o ensino regular em termos de interesse, dinâmica da turma, etc. Para alguns participantes é bastante gratificante ensinar a EJA e o Ensino Regular, pois, assim têm uma visão de ambos os lados. Os(As) docentes ressaltaram alguns aspectos importantes na construção da identidade tais como: formação, experiência em sala de aula de EJA, sensibilidade e aprendizado com outros(as) docentes
