A língua inglesa na educação infantil

The interest in the learning English language comes from the rapid expansion that English had the daily lives of children. In this new scenario, many schools searched to respond to this new demand. This research aims to indicate psycho-pedagogical principles that guide the teaching- learning process of a foreign language in kindergarten, and is a result from the approximation of these two fields of interest: early childhood education and learning processes of a foreign language. The methodology used for this research was the bibliographical, with a study of sources that helped us understand the subject discussed in this research, the English language in kindergarten. We conclude that it is possible to have a English education for children from kindergarten, without to prejudice in learning of other subjects present in the school curriculum. For this, we must understand that this process does not depend only on stimulus from the school environment, but also interactions and external experiences that children have in life. So we realize that it is necessary an upgrading in teaching methods and in the way that content is passed.O interesse pela aprendizagem da língua inglesa tem origem na rápida expansão que a língua inglesa teve no cotidiano das crianças. Diante desse novo cenário, muitas escolas buscaram responder a essa nova demanda. Esta pesquisa objetiva indicar princípios psicopedagógicos que orientam processos de ensino-aprendizagem de uma língua estrangeira na Educação Infantil, e é resultado da aproximação desses dois campos de interesse: educação infantil e processos de aprendizagem de uma língua estrangeira. A metodologia utilizada para a realização desta pesquisa foi do tipo bibliográfica, com um estudo de fontes que nos auxiliaram a compreender a temática abordada nessa pesquisa, a Língua Inglesa na Educação Infantil. Concluímos que é possível ter um ensino de inglês para crianças da Educação Infantil, sem que as prejudique no aprendizado das outras disciplinas presentes no currículo escolar. Para isso, temos que entender que esse processo não depende somente de estímulos vindos do ambiente escolar, mas também de interações e experiências externas que a criança passa ao longo da vida.
