Caracterização morfodinâmica das praias de Tambaú e Manaíra – João Pessoa.

As central beaches from João Pessoa city, Tambaú e Manaíra are suffering some serious environmental damages, because of the disordered occupation of this area. This present graduation thesis tries to understand the coastal dynamic and the erosion that happens between Tambaú and Manaíra beaches in João Pessoa City (from the state of Paraíba – PB), with the proposal to discover the anthropic actuation in the environment. Tambaú and Manaíra beaches are spaces multipurpose that happens to have serious social conflicts of use and occupation of that ground and space. It’s necessary, then, to have this research, once these beaches are changing through the years, and while there’s an anthropic actuation on these beaches, these changes are happening even more. So, we must know how, when and how intense were these changes, and for this purpose, it’s necessary to observe some strategic points which had huge anthropic changes and huge changes by the urban dynamic of the area. To get to know the characterization of the coastal dynamic of these beaches, it was made a systematic observation of four locals selected: 9.212.688mN, 9.214.200mN, 298.590mE and 298.035mE – two locals in Tambaú beach and two locals in Manaíra beach. This observation was made during a year, from august 2011 to august 2012, always following the spring tide of the new moon. Morphodynamic and sedimentological data were collected. These locals are places which have intense urban agitation, lots of touristic boats and fishing boats, and lots of restaurants and bars. During the present study, it was possible to observe a lot of new edifications being constructed, more specifically bars, around the beach. The building of the hotel Tambaú serves as agent of change in stream sediments. There’s also a sandy tip that divides Tambaú beach, where we can notice a significant differentiation on the sand deposition. That’s why in the south side of the hotel, there’s a beach with an ‘estirâncio’ (specific term in Portuguese for a geographic specification of an area) and an extensive area after the beach with a lot of beach vegetation. Meanwhile, in the North way, there’s not enough sedimentation, and that’s why this area stays with a prominent slope, with a sand area only 30 meters large. Therefore, while the south area of the Hotel Tambaú is having a stability and sedimentation process, the north area of the Hotel is having the opposite process, of instability and erosion.Como praias centrais da cidade de João Pessoa, Tambaú e Manaíra sofrem um desequilíbrio ambiental, decorrente da ocupação desordenada desta área. A presente monografia busca entender a dinâmica costeira e os processos erosivos atuantes, entre as praias de Tambaú e Manaíra no município de João Pessoa (PB), a fim de descobrir a atuação antrópica resultante no meio ambiente. As praias de Tambaú e Manaíra manifestam-se como espaços multiuso sujeito a sérios conflitos sociais de uso e ocupação do solo e espaço. Faz-se necessário a pesquisa uma vez que as praias se modificam ao longo de anos, e ocorrendo uma ação antrópica nessas praias, essas modificações ocorrem em maior escala, para sabermos como, quando e o quanto foi modificado, foi necessário o acompanhamento de pontos delimitados pela forte presença das ações antrópicas e também de dinâmica urbana. Para se obter a caracterização da dinâmica costeira das praias estudadas, realizou-se um acompanhamento sistemático em quatro pontos selecionados. Os pontos localizam-se entre as coordenadas 9.212.688mN 9.214.200mN e 298.590mE 298.035mE, sendo dois na praia de Tambaú e dois na área de praia de Manaíra. Este acompanhamento foi feito durante o período de um ano, que abrange de Agosto de 2011 a Agosto de 2012, sempre na maré de sizígia de lua nova. Foram coletados dados morfodinâmicos e sedimentológicos. Face ao exposto os pontos ficam em lugares onde se considera de grande movimentação urbana, e possuem um grande porte de barcos turísticos e de pesca, além de empreendimentos alimentícios e bares. Foi possível perceber que no decorrer do trajeto percorrido neste estudo, se faz presente varias edificações, mas precisamente bares, sobre extensão da pós-praia. A edificação do hotel Tambaú serve como agente de alteração no fluxo dos sedimentos. É bem perceptível que há uma significativa diferenciação quanto à deposição de sedimentos. Diferença essa onde no lado sul do hotel, encontramos uma praia com um estirâncio e pós-praia bastante amplo e uma vegetação de praia crescida. Enquanto na parte norte, percebe que há uma falta de sedimento, fazendo com que esse trecho fique com uma inclinação proeminente, com uma faixa de areia atingindo no máximo 30 metros de largura. Portanto conclui-se que no lado sul do hotel Tambaú, passa por um processo de estabilidade ou sedimentação, já no lado norte do hotel, passa por um processo inverso, ou seja, o de instabilidade ou erosão
