Análise de áreas desertificadas nos Cariris Velhos - PB.

This paper addresses the issue of desertification, be characterized by a sort of degradation likely to occur in areas of arid, semiarid and dry sub-humid, resulting from climate change and human attitudes, showing a direct relationship to vegetation and soils. For its development, three techniques were used in order to analyze the behavior and dynamics between soil and vegetation in some degraded areas in the districts of Cariri. The first technique used was the infiltrometer test, conducted in the municipality of Caraúbas to identify the level of the water infiltration rate. The other test was to collect soil for identifying patterns of fertility, held in Santo Domingo and Cariri Coxixola. The latter technique was based on the analysis of vegetation from a transect, held in Santo Domingo and Cariri Coxixola. The test results showed that the infiltrometer area is analyzed with compacted soil due to deforestation; analysis showed soil nutrient deficiency, particularly phosphorus, potassium and organic matter, the application of the transect is shown that the vegetation sparse and with a small number of individuals.O presente trabalho aborda a questão da desertificação, caracterizada por ser um tipo de degradação passível de ocorrer nas regiões de clima árido, semiárido e subúmido seco, resultante das mudanças climáticas e das atitudes humanas, apresentando uma relação direta com a vegetação e os solos. Para o seu desenvolvimento, foram utilizadas três técnicas com a finalidade de analisar o comportamento e a dinâmica entre o solo e a vegetação em algumas áreas degradadas nos municípios do Cariri paraibano. A Primeira técnica utilizada foi o teste de Infiltrômetro, realizado no Município de Caraúbas, para identificar o nível de infiltrabilidade da água. O outro teste foi a coleta de solos para identificação dos padrões de fertilidade, realizada em São Domingos do Cariri e Coxixola. A última técnica foi baseada na análise da vegetação a partir de um transecto, realizado em São Domingos do Cariri e Coxixola. Os resultados do teste com o infiltrômetro demonstraram que a área analisada está com o solo compactado em função do desmatamento; a análise de solos mostrou deficiência de nutrientes, particularmente o fósforo, o potássio e a matéria orgânica; a aplicação do transecto mostrou que a vegetação está esparsa e com um número reduzido de indivíduos
