ANALISIS PERBEDAAN INFORMASI CITRA ANATOMI PEMERIKSAAN MRI GENU POTONGAN CORONAL SEKUEN T2 TSE FATSAT DAN SEKUEN T2 TSE DIXON

The examination of MRI knee joint, fat must be removed using a fat suppression technique because it will block the anatomy and pathology images. There are several types of fat suppression techniques including fatsat and dixon techniques.The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in anatomical images of knee joint MRI examination in coronal plane between T2 TSE fatsat and T2 TSE dixon, and to determine which sequences were the best to assess anatomical image information.This research was conducted at radiology department Telogorejo Hospital Semarang by making the image of 10 volunteers on knee joint MRI examination in coronal plane of T2 TSE fatsat and T2 TSE dixon using 1.5 Tesla with fixed parameters namely TR, TE, FOV, NEX, and Slice Thickness. 40 images were produced which were then read by 3 respondents to find out the value of differences in information of knee joint image of each sequence. Data analysis was performed by the Wilcoxon test to determine the level of difference in anatomic MRI image information on T2 TSE fatsat and T2 TSE dixon sequences.Based on the results of the assessment of 3 respondents of knee joint anatomical images, T2 TSE dixon sequence produced better images than TSE fatsat T2 sequences. The statistical tests obtained ? value between the use of the two sequences is ? value < 0.001 (? value < 0.05) then Ho is rejected, this means that there are differences in anatomical MRI image information in coronal plane of T2 TSE fatsat and T2 TSE dixon sequences. On all information criteria the T2 TSE dixon sequence anatomical image shows better information than TSE fatsat T2 sequences
