PERBEDAAN KUALITAS CITRA DAN INFORMASI CITRA ANATOMI MRI LUMBAL SEKUEN T2 TSE POTONGAN SAGITAL DENGAN DAN TANPA TEKNIK PARALLEL IMAGING GRAPPA PADA KASUS HERNIA NUKLEUS PULPOSUS (HNP)

Patients with clinical Hernia Nucleus Pulposus (HNP) often feel uncomfortable because of the length of time of examination, so a quick scan time is needed. Parallel MRI (pMRI) is a special technique for increasing the speed of MRI data acquisition by passing several phase encoding lines in k-space while the direction of the encoding frequency remains fully sampled. One of the parellel imaging techniques in which reconstruction takes place in k-space is Generalized Autocalibrating Partially Parallel Acquisition (GRAPPA). The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in quality and anatomic image information with and without GRAPPA on lumbar MRI.This type of research is quantitative research with an experimental approach. This research was conducted at the Radiology Installation of the RSUD Dr. Soedono Madiun in 10 patients. Then the ROI was performed on 4 organs, namely Disc Bulge, Corpus Vertebrae, Intervertebral Discs, and CSF. Then the questionnaire was filled in by 3 radiologist. Data from SNR measurement results and data from questionnaires were statistically processed using the Wilcoxon test to determine SNR differences and anatomical image information between the use of GRAPPA and without the use of GRAPPA.The results of the image quality (SNR) statistical test show that the p value is 0.074 (p > 0,05) which means there is no difference in image quality with and without the use of GRAPPA on lumbar MRI in the case of Nucleus Pulposus Hernia (HNP). The results of statistical tests of anatomical image information are known that p value is 0.564 (p < 0,05) which means there is difference in anatomical image information with and without the use of GRAPPA on lumbar MRI in the case of Hernia Nucleus Pulposus (HNP) but there is nothing better between the two
