ANALISIS PERBEDAAN INFORMASI CITRA ANATOMI MRI LUMBAL POTONGAN SAGITAL ANTARA SEKUEN T2 TURBO SPIN ECHO (TSE) DENGAN T2 TURBO SPIN ECHO (TSE) BLADE PADA KASUS HERNIATED NUCLEUS PULPOSUS (HNP)

HNP is the localized displacement of disc material beyond the limits of the intervertebral disc space due to disruption of the annulus fibrosus, or a break in the vertebral body endplate. At present practitioners prefer Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) as modality of choice for evaluating HNP cases. In 1999, a new method was developed, namely BLADE based on TSE sequences with radial k-space coverage. The advantage of using this sequence is to improve image quality, improve spatial resolution, and reduce motion artifact.The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in anatomic image information and which sequences produce better quality image between T2 TSE Sagital and T2 TSE Sagittal BLADE MRI lumbar vertebra in HNP.This research is quantitative pre-experiment. Using an MRI Siemens Skyra 3 Tesla at RSUD dr. Soedono Madiun with 10 HNP patients performed scanning using T2 TSE Sagital and T2 TSE Sagital BLADE sequences. Respondents were 2 radiologist. The criteria assessed included vertebral body, intervertebral disc (normal and HNP), spinal cord, cerebro spinal fluid (CSF), and motion artifact. Using questionnaires, and analyzed using the Wilcoxon statistical test.The results showed that there were differences in anatomic image information on the MRI of the lumbar vertebra between the T2 TSE Sagittal and T2 TSE Sagital BLADE sequences.
