PENGARUH TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN DAN KEBIASAAN JAJAN DI LINGKUNGAN SEKOLAH TERHADAP KEJADIAN KARIES GIGI MOLAR PERTAMA PERMANEN PADA SISWASDN PEDALANGAN 2 SEMARANG

Dental caries is a chronic disease whose process lasts long enough. Permanent teeth most commonly affected by caries are permanent first molars due to having pits and fissures deep, earlier eruption times and at the rear. Lack of knowledge in elementary school children regarding the maintenance of dental and oral health plus snack habits in the school environment tend to be cariogenic which makes them ignore their dental health. This study aims to determine the effect of the level of knowledge and snack habits in the school environment on the incidence of permanent first molars caries in students of Pedalangan 2 Elementary School Semarang.This study used an analytical survey method with aapproach cross sectional. The sample in this study amounted to 55 samples, taken by purposive sampling. Data retrieval is done by checking and filling in questionnaires on knowledge and snacking habits. Data analysis was performed by univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. To find out the relationship between independent variables and the dependent variable, thetest was used Kendal Tau, while thetest was used to determine whether there was any influence logistic regression.The results of thestatistical test Kendal Tau and the Logistic Regression test obtained the knowledge variable p-value 0.027 and 0.029 and the habitual variable p-value 0.000 and 0.001. It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship and there is an influence between knowledge and the incidence of caries and there is an influence between student snack habits on the incidence of caries of permanent first molars in students of Pedalangan 2 Elementary School Semaran
