FAKTOR RESIKO TERJADINYA KARIES GIGI PADAANAK USIA SEKOLAH DASAR DI SD NEGERI 2GLAPANSARI TEMANGGUNG TAHUN 2019

Dental oral and health are one of the health problems that need to be considered. The problem dental health and oral problems can be experienced by all people, including elementary school age children. Dental caries Caries is a disease of dental hard tissue both in e-mail, dentine and cementum, which is caused by the activity of one microorganism in a carbohydrate that can be distributed. Dental caries can be caused by various factors, including internal and external factors. The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors for caries in children at Glapansari Elementary School 2 Temanggung.The type of research used is descriptive quantitative with a "Cross Sectional" design. The sample in this study amounted to 32 samples and taken by "Random Sampling". Data collection was done by caries examination (DMF-T), OHI-S, salivary pH, and filling in the questionnaire for behavioral variables (Knowledge, Attitude). Data analysis was carried out by risk factor testing using "Odd Ratio" the cause of caries.The results showed that the value of the OHI-S factor with a bad category was 25% of respondents, pH of saliva with acid category 69% of respondents, Knowledge in bad category 31% of respondents, Bad attitude in category 25% of respondents and actions with bad category 28%. And the statistical test results were obtained by OHI-S (OR = 10,400), salivary pH (OR = 4,800), Knowledge (OR = 13,000), Attitude (OR = 10,400), and Action (OR = 10,400). This shows that Internal Factors (OHI-S and Saliva pH) and External Factors (Knowledge, Attitudes, Actions). Priority of the problem that the most dominant causative factor is knowledge has the risk of caries in elementary school-age children at SD Negeri 2 Glapansari Temanggung
