POTENSI JUS BUAH NAGA (hylocereus polyrhizus) SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF LAYANAN KEBIDANAN PADA IBU POST PARTUM YANG MENGALAMI ANEMIA DI PUSKESMAS BUMIAJI KOTA BATU MALANG

Background: The prevalence of anemia for postpartum mothers according to WHO reaches 56%. Puerperal maternal anemia causes subinvolution of the uterus which causes post partum hemorrhage. The administration of iron tablets 1-4 months after giving birth does not give a significant effect on iron status in the mother and her baby. For this reason it is necessary to provide a combination of micronutrients. One alternative is to consume fruits that contain iron and vitamin C, one of which is dragon fruit. Dragon fruit is one of the non-heme iron sources needed to synthesize hemoglobin, hematocrit and erythrocytesPurpose: This study aims to prove the influence of Fe and dragon fruit juice consumption on the increase of hemoglobin, hematocrit and erythrocyte levels.Method: This study was a quasy experiment with nonrandomized pretest posttest with control group design. Conducted for 1 month with 32 respondents post partum mothers with anemia. Hemoglobin, hematocrit and erythrocyte levels were measured before and after giving dragon fruit juice. Data analysis using parametric paired t testResult: Statistical tests after intervention, mean hemoglobin levels, hematocrit and erythrocytes experienced an average increase of 10.3 g / dL for hemoglobin, 34.9% for hematocrit and 3.9?l for erythrocytes.
