PERBEDAAN INFORMASI ANATOMI DAN KUALITAS CITRA CT SCAN NASOFARING KASUS KARSINOMA MENGGUNAKAN VARIASI SLICE THICKNESS PADA POTONGAN AXIAL DI RSUD DR. MOEWARDI SURAKARTA

The use of Slice thickness examination of nasopharyngeal CT based on theory (Seeram, 2001) using 3 mm and according (Ballinger, 2010) using 5 mm, while in hospital Dr. Moewardi Surakarta the slice thickness used is 5 mm according to theory and 7 mm based on the radiographer. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of anatomical information and image quality of CT scan of nasopharynx of carcinoma case and to know the slice thickness that produces anatomical information and the best image quality CT Scan nasopharynx case carcinoma.This research is quantitative with an experimental approach. This research uses MSCT Toshiba 64 slice. The sample used is patient data which have been done the scanning process of nasopharynx, the data of axial slice done variation of reconstruction of slice thickness 3 mm, 5 mm, and 7 mm, reconstructed data is done assessment of anatomical information and image quality by spreading questioner at 3 doctor radiolog, then from the results of the questionnaire the first processed data is done kappa testing between 3 respondents, after the kappa test done normality test data, and after the data normality test friedman test.The result showed that there was the difference of anatomical information and image quality of CT Scan nasopharynx of axial slice using variation of slice thickness 3 mm, 5 mm, and 7 mm there is significant difference.
