PERBANDINGAN INFORMASI ANATOMI CITRA ANTARA SEKUEN T2WI TURBO SPIN ECHO (TSE) DENGAN TEKNIK BLADE DAN TANPA TEKNIK BLADE PADA PEMERIKSAAN MRI BRAIN POTONGAN CORONAL DENGAN KASUS EPILEPSI

Epilepsy is a chronic abnormalitiy on brain which is influence at any ages on human in whole world. One of examination to diagnosed the epilepsy i.e. with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) modality. On MRI of Brain examination case, one of pulse sequence which use is T2WI Turbo Spin Echo (TSE). On some cases like epilepsy, T2WI TSE pulse sequence is often combine with BLADE technique. BLADE technique can be used to fast imaging with good contrast, so this technique effective to correct the movement. The research aims to know the difference of image information between T2WI TSE sequence with BLADE technique and without BLADE technique and to know the best technique on brain coronal MRI examination in case of epilepsy. This research is a quantitative research. Research samples using 8 patients with epilepsy case as samples of the research. The brain of the patients will be examine using MRI with T2WI TSE sequence with BLADE technique and without BLADE technique. Anothers parameters which controlled is TR 5500 ms, TE 80 ms, Turbo Factor 18, NEX 4, FOV 250 mm and Slice Thickness 5 mm. Aspect of image information which rated is white matter, gray matter, cerebro spinal fluid, hippocampus and artefact. Data processing and analysis is do by rated the image information using 3 respondens (Radiologists) and then will be analyse using Wilcoxon Sign Test. Result of statistical test using Wilcoxon to know the difference of anatomical information using BLADE technique and without BLADE technique, the result obtained that p value < 0.05, which mean there is significant difference on each technique. The difference is obtained by each anatomical area (Gray Matter, White Matter, Cerebro Spinal Fluid, Hippocampus and Artifact) which is rated as well as entirety areas. Then the Ha will be accepted because there is difference of image information based on using technique. If seen by the mean rank result on each anatomical area which is rated as well as entirety areas using Wilcoxon, show that the T2WI TSE sequence with BLADE technique has higher mean rank value compared with T2WI TSE sequence without BLADE technique
