Quiet sequences can reduce acoustic noise by modifying and optimizing gradient activity (Ott, 2015). Quiet sequence can reduce acoustic noise to 20%, but increase scanning time (Hagiyama, 2017). On MRI Brain examination FLAIR fat sequences have a long scanning time because they use long TI. The use of quiet sequences on FLAIR fat saturation causes the MRI acoustic noise to decrease but the scanning time will be longer, so movement is possible because the patient feels uncomfortable.
