PROSEDUR PEMERIKSAAN RADIOLOGI SENDI LUTUT BILATERAL PADA KASUS OSTEOARTHRITIS DI INSTALASI RADIOLOGI RSUD K.R.M.T. WONGSONEGORO SEMARANG

Bilateral knee joint radiology examination techniques in osteoarthritis cases according to Ballinger (2016), the basic projection used were bilateral AP projection (weight bearing) and lateral projection (mediolateral). But at the Radiology Installation of RSUD K.R.M.T. Wongsonegoro Hospital Semarang only uses bilateral AP projections (weight bearing). These study aims to determine radiology examination procedure of bilateral knee joint with osteoarthritis cases and find out the reasons for using bilateral AP projections (weight bearing) as well as the advantages and disadvantages in the case of osteoarthritis was used only these projections.This research was qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted in April-May 2018 at the Radiology Installation of RSUD K.R.M.T. Wongsonegoro Hospital Semarang. By using methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. Subjects of the research were radiographers, radiologists and reffering physician. Data from observing were processed and analyzed with categorization table and open coding.The results showed that bilateral knee joint radiology examination in osteoarthritis cases at Radiology Installation at RSUD K.R.M.T. Wongsonegoro Hospital Semarang uses only bilateral AP projection (weight bearing). The only reason for these projection because from the bilateral AP projection (weight bearing) it could be show joint space narrowing, know osteophytes, straightness of the femur and tibia to determine valgus and varus and have provided informative radiographs. Besides being in accordance with the request of the referring physician also in terms of the dose of radiation received by the projection, the patient is reduced, because the examination was done using only one projection
